What Is an e-Archive Invoice?

What is an e-Archive Invoice? Electronic invoices for unregistered recipients

An e-Archive Invoice is an electronic invoice issued to companies not registered in the e-Invoice system and to consumers; it is created, stored and reported electronically. It replaces the paper invoice and is delivered by email or other electronic means; a printed copy can be given on request.

Who can issue e-Archive Invoices?

Under VUK General Communiqué No. 509, the prerequisite for joining e-Archive is being registered for e-Invoice. You switch to e-Invoice first and then join e-Archive. With eKüpSoft both applications are made together.

What changed in 2026?

According to GİB, from 1 January 2026 taxpayers using e-Archive issue e-Archive Invoices to companies not registered for e-Invoice and to consumers regardless of the amount. Amount limits applied in earlier years no longer apply to them.

Online sales and marketplaces

Taxpayers using e-Archive who sell goods or services online must deliver these e-Archive Invoices electronically. If you sell on marketplaces such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada or Amazon, or on your own online store, turning orders into e-Archive Invoices automatically saves a lot of time. See supported platforms on our Marketplace and E-Commerce Integrations page.

e-Archive vs e-Invoice

  • An e-Invoice is sent through GİB to the recipient's e-Invoice inbox when the recipient is registered.
  • An e-Archive Invoice is issued when the recipient is not registered and is delivered by email or other electronic means.

Whether a recipient is registered can be checked in GİB's list of registered e-Invoice users. For a detailed comparison, read What is an e-Invoice?.

How do you switch to e-Archive?

  1. Obtain a financial seal (companies) or e-Signature (sole proprietors).
  2. Apply for e-Invoice and e-Archive and authorise eKüpSoft as your private integrator.
  3. Connect your accounting, ERP or e-commerce software to eKüpSoft.
  4. Validate with test invoices and go live.

Conclusion

The e-Archive Invoice is the legal way to issue electronic invoices to anyone not registered for e-Invoice, and from 2026 it applies without an amount limit. See our e-Archive Invoice page or get a free transition consultation.
